Exciting News for Baseball Fans! On February 1st at 6 p.m., the Samford baseball community will come together for its much-anticipated annual First Pitch Dinner, held in the Coca Cola Hospitality Room located within the Pete Hanna Center. This announcement comes directly from head coach Tony David, who is eager to share this event with all members of the Diamond Society Booster Club.
This dinner is more than just a gathering; it marks the beginning of the new baseball season while also expressing gratitude towards the dedicated booster club that supports the program. Coach David emphasized the vital role the Diamond Society plays, stating, "Our Diamond Society is the heart and soul of our baseball program operations. Without the generosity and shared love the members of this group have for our program and university as a whole, it would be impossible to compete at the level our guys do. We are proud of the consistent success the baseball program has had over the years and recognize wholeheartedly that it would not be possible without the Diamond Society."
The Diamond Society comprises a diverse group of individuals, including alumni, parents of current and former players, friends, and passionate supporters of Samford baseball.
Attendees of the dinner can expect an enriching experience filled with updates about the baseball program, including key changes and additions since last season, enhancements to facilities, roster information, and an exciting preview of what’s to come in the upcoming season.
Should you have any inquiries about the dinner or the Diamond Society, feel free to reach out to Elisabeth Souders via email at edcarr@samford.edu.
